Jodie Foster :" Fame is like sticking pins in your eyes"

Former child star Jodie Foster is relieved her celebrity status has died down since she first broke into hollywood, likening fame to " sticking pins in your eyes." The 48 year old actress started her on-screen career aged just three, and found fame with her Oscar nominated role as a child prostitute in 1976's "Taxi Driver"

She has since carved out a successful, film career but maintains a low profile in her private life and foster is pleased she's slipped under the radar.   She tells Britain's Daily Express, " I think people are kind of over me now. They are more interested in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and that's just fine. The price you pay for celebrity is like sticking pins in your eyes.. I've been working in this business for years and there's no way you can do that and not be as nutty as fruitcake.

'Prayer Alert' SMS targets Incubus

American rock band Incubus is the subject of a negative text message circulating locally as of late.

"PRAYER ALERT!! a rock band called incubus is coming to perform at the Araneta coliseum on July 28. We must pray this group duznt even step on 2 the philippines soil so that they dont impart their spirits into our YOUTH!", a part of the text msg read a quoted by ABS-CBN in a report posted online on July 6.

Incubus is set to hold a concert at Araneta Coliseum on July 28 as part of their " If not now, when ?" world tour. This would be the group's third time to visit the country. they previously held concerts in manila in 2008 and 2004. To drive its point home, the text message even cited the definition of the word " incubus".
" 1. a male demon believe to lie on sleeping persons 3 have sexual intercourse with them2. situation resembling a terrifying dream  3. some one who depresses or worries others," it read.

The message ended by urging its recipients to  " pls pray ! may god protect us all "

In an interview posted in March 2009 on youtube via user just a phase bizarre, incubus frontman brandon boyd and lead guitarist mike elinzinger gave the reason they named their band as such. " Because it's silly soounding word" Elinzinger said.

Boyd continued, " And we were 15 years old and we think of a name quickly because we got to play at a party in someone's backyard", adding that they chose the name incubus over spiral staircase and chink of funk.

" And then mike looked at the thesurus and he's all, " incubus! look right there. that should be our name! we're all right," boyd shared

On incubus meaning, Einzinger recalled, " I'm pretty sure  I remeber that it just said, " a spirit that seduces women while they're sleeping" adding that they thought the word was " pretty harmless."

2NE1, other K-pop groups to debut in Japanese music market

More K-pop groups are venturing into Japanese music market, following the moves made by other idol singers. On her me2day account, Sandara Park revealed 2Ne1's new Japanese website, www.2ne10921.com . It is believed that based on the website URL, 2NE1 will debut in Japan on Sept 21.

2NE1 was supposed to debut in Japan las March with theri first japanese single "Go Away" but this was cancelled after a powerful earthquake and tsunami hit Japan on march 11. in the aftermath of the disaster, YG Entertainment decided to push back the group's japan debut. Girl group after scvhool will also debut in Japan with the release of their first Japanese single " bang " on Aug 17.

Before this, After school will perform on July 17 at the Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo. The girl group will also perform on the popular yearly concert " a-nation" in Japanese on Aug 13, 21 and 27.  After school is composed of Kahi, UEE, Jung- ah, Lizzy, Jooyeon, raina, nana and E-young. In addition, seven member T-ARA will also make their debut in Japan in Spetember with the japanese version of their hit JKorean song " Bo Peep Bo Peep"

Taylor Swift has bronchitis

Taylor Swift scrapped three more shows as she battles bronchitis. The singer canceled a show in Kentucky just hours before the show, marking the first time Taylor was forced to miss a concert due to ill health. She has now postponed three more upcoming concerts. She said : " It breaks my heart to miss out on this weekend's shows with my friends in Charlotte and Atlanta. I would never cancel if I thought I was physically able to perform these shows. i am sorry to the fans, but I look forward to seeing you when we come back through your towns, which will do/". Ryan Phillippe's ex gives birth

Ryan Phillipes's ex girl friend, model Alexis knapp, gave bith to a healthy baby girl on Friday, according to In touch magazine. Philippe, who has daughter and a son with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, was by Knapp's bedside when little Kai was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The actor has not yet to discover if he is officially the baby's biological father via a DNA test, but a source tells the publication, " He's acting like he is."

The crash star, who recently split from actress girlfriend Amanda Seyfried, was photo graphed visiting knapp's doctor with his ex last month.
