BALUT (Philippines, Cambodia, laos, and Vietnam)

One might not connsider this as gross as someone from a different country might. We grew up seing balut everywhere! We've grown accustomed to a street vendor's voice screaming "BALUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!" at dawn. But doesn't eating that hairy little critter inside bug you at  all? Not even once Not Even the first time you saw it tiny beak? If it wasn't youer meal, it could have been  a cute duck floating and quacking freely in somebody's pond, you know. If you think about it hard enough, eating another creature's fetus is kind of twisted in some ways.

But There is nothing that your favorite brand to booze cannot help you wash down. Balut is usually eaten wit a pinch of salt here in the Philippines, but some prefer chili and vinegar to compliment their egg. in Vietnam, it is most comonly eaten with lemon juice, goround pepper and Vietnamese Coriander leaves.
