Ringo Starr jacket in movie sells for $46K

BOSTON - The black wool double breated suit jacket that Ringo Starr wore in 1965 Beatles movie "Help!" has sold at auction for more than $ 46, 500.

Boston - based RR Auction announced Friday that the jacket with soft gray vertical pinstripes, six black buttons, and the name "Ringo" sewn inside was part of the online Marvels of Modern Music auction that closed Thursday.

Beatles First Recordings to be Released in Pre- Christmas package

Fans of the Beatles are set for an early Christmas present - the group's earliest recordings with singer Toni Sheridan have been collected for a new double album package to mark the Fab Four's 50th anniversary.

"The Beatles With Tony Sheridan: First Recordings" features tracks and band performed with Sheridan as Polydor.artists after band leader and music executive Bert kaempfert discovered them performing in a German night club in `1961.

The Cd will be accompanied by a booklet full of rarely seen photographs, taken by one time Beatles guitartist Stuart Sutcliffes's fiancee Astrid Kirchher, band contracts, poster art for early shows and handwritten biographies by each member of the group.

The packaged will be released on Nov. 8
