Catholic priest Fr. Fernando Suarez is the first person to deny being affected by all this uproar. For him, going to healing Masses- be it as huge as the 15,000 crowd drawer that he pulled off at the Los Angeles Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California or as " small" as the one he celebrated,at a reclaimed area in Malibay,Pasay last week - is just like going to the office on a regular day. Really, it's all in a day's work as a messenger- of God.
The 41 year old Fr. Suarez gained popularity when he started conducting healing Masses and people begun attributing healing from particular illnesses to him. Expectedly, some sectors denounced this as unfounded, reminding him that they are "watchful of his healing Masses and activities.
Fr. Suarez is not easily fazed by controversies. He is one who takes things slowly but surely. For instance, it took him 20 years before he acknowledged his gift, waiting for the right time and maturity to be able to use it in the way the Lord wants him to.
