Veteran actress Melissa mendez is aware that the Philippine movie industry is still struggling to survive if it can't regain its old glory. Yet she took a bold move and produced the digital movie "HILOT", which for her is a thirst quencher for her showbiz carrers bid for a worthwhile experience. "HILOT" came about after she watched the indie-film "Tiltil" on its premiere night. She was very impressed with film's director Neal "Buboy" Tan that she called him for a meeting. According to her she was inspired by "Tiltil" to produce a digital film. She met with Tan and voila!~ they has a project, since the director had a ready a script for her to invest on!
She may be a neophyte in producing films but it is one field that she wants to dabble in and explore.
