GLEE : Empire State of Mind

Glee has been everywhere since it peaked. The TV serial was dictating hit songs, drawing A-List musicians into wanting cameos or wanting them to have their songs performed on "Glee" and even pulling in Hollywood stars for significant roles.

For fans, who will be left figuring out ways how to wait out off season, the "New York" finale is big because it's a preview of what storylines will be flexed come season three.

in the season-ender, the New Directions was left without a song to perform even when they have arrived in New Yorkl for the Nationals mainly because Will Schuester has been busy with his impending Broadway debut that he kept secret from the kids of the club.

Much of the screen-time was the city foe the first time while subplots (Rachels realizing love is stage is stage, not Finn), relationships (Finn and rachel aim for Broadway while Mr. Schue trades while mr. Schue trades Broadway for teaching).

Clearing in the final 10 minutes of season two, plot arcs like whether Rachel (lea Michele) will still chase her Broadway dream despite Finn (Cory  Monteith) telling her that they at least have a year still before she graduates and leaves for NY.

Brittany ( Heather Morris ) also becomes the smartest character in the final scenes and while she and santana (naya Rivera) defclare they remain each other's best friends, the latter still obviously has romantic feeling for blondie hottie.

Blaine (Darren Criss) dropped the "I love you" bomb to Kurt (Chris Colfer) who suprisingly did not say it back probably becuase Kurt ( with rachel ) was able to sing "For Good" on a real Broadway stage (after the cute " Breakfast at tiffany's moment).

The confirmation of Sam (Chord overstreet) and mercedes's (Amber Riley) romnace was amongst the most interesting cliffhangers becasue because they decided to keep it secret for reasons only season three will be able to answer.

"New York", however , lacked really big numers. The mash up of madonna's "I love New York" and New York, New York (on The Town) failed miserably compared to the simple but worked out " Empre State of Mind" number in season 2 pilot " Audition". It just lacked in the spirited feel department. brittany's " My Cup" was cute and mr. Schue brought " Still got tonight " home but the Bella Note numer was off for all the corny reasons.

The Best number of the finale belonged to Kurt and Rache;'s " For Good" though the originals ( "Pretending" and "light up the world  ") The New Directions performed during nationals are runner up numbers, along side Charice's I own the stage version of As long as you are there...

For an episode that was supposed to place a punctuation mark on successful season, " New York" was just okay probably because the writers really wanted ellipses. After all, season three will be still be big because most key cast members will spend their senior and last year at Mc Kinley High.
