Two Filipino- Americans proved to be teen favorites at the recent Teen Choice Awards. Singers Bruno Mars and Darren Cris, who both visited the country recently, took home life-size surfboards as awards from 2011 TCA held in Los Angeles, California.
Teens voted Bruno Mars as favorite music breakout artist. The Billionaire hit maker hit the stage as twice as he also received the summer Music star awards, as reported by balitang america. tv.
Darren, "Glee's" Blaine meanwhile, was proclaimed breakout television star for his role in the hit musical series. Boxing icon Manny " Pacman" Pacquiao was also nominated in TCA's choice male Athlete Category along with mixed martial artist (MMA) Jon Jones, NBA star Dirk Nowitzki, baseball player Albert Pujols, and snowborder Shaun White. White won the category.
Filipina sensation charice was alo at the TCA to present a special award to sinder actress Demi Lovato.
The 13th Teen Choice Awars concluded Aug. 7 ( Aug. 8 manila time ) at the Gibson Amphitheater on Sunday in Los Angeles.
