Kim Chiu has come a long way since winning the firstPinoy Big Brother Teen Edition back in 2006. Now the Fil-Chinese Cebuana is dominating primetime once again with the new teleserye My Binondo Girl, plus a movie with Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos is already scheduled to begin production soon.
But while the 21-year-old is at the top of her game at the moment, she confessed that showbiz is a very unpredictable industry. “Alam ko naman na hindi pwedeng forever na lang akong aasa sa pagiging artista. Matatapos din ito pero hindi ko alam kung kailan. Pero sana huwag muna ngayon kasi nage-enjoy ako sa ginagawa ko at mahal ko ‘yung trabaho ko.”
That’s why despite her very hectic schedule for tapings, commercial shoots, and mall shows among others, she successfully managed to finish high school through the Department of Education’s alternative learning system test. “Na-inspire ako nung mga old friends ko sa high school sa Cebu. Nakikita ko sa Facebook na karamihan sa kanila graduate na sa college. Siyempre kahit papaano naiinggit ako sa kanila.”
