26 ways to commemorate Ninoy's death anniversary.....

To commemorate Ninoy's death and Cory's life listed 26 things commit to on Ninoy's Aquino's 26 death anniversary. Some of these have to do with the coming elections while others are things that all Filipinos should be doing in our daily lives.
1. I will register and vote in the 2010 elections.
2. I will actively review all the platforms and background of the candidates and choose with my conscience who to vote for.
3. I will actively support the candidates I vote for.
4. I will actively engage my preferred candidates in discussions in support of their good programs and to influence them to support other programs that I believe to be positive.
5. Despite automation, I will support citizen's efforts to safeguard the ballot.
6. I will think through all issues clearly and keep myself informed so that I can make better decisions about them.
7.I will do my work to the best of my ability so that I become a source of pride and inspiration, and not of shame, to my family, friends and public.
8. I will support all efforts to promote peace and justice that will positively impact the lives of the majority of our people.
9. I will use whatever celebrity status I have to promote causes that will uplift the consciousness of our people in ways that empower them.
10. I will work for the passage of the reproductive health bill in this Congress, or in the next one.
11. I will not refrain from speaking my mind on issues, especially those that pertain to how the arts and media sectors can be more responsible to our public.
12. I will continue to write and sing songs that inspire and elevate the spirit and sensibilities of my audience.
13. I will make myself knowledgeable about grassroots issues in my immediate neighborhood and help in any way I can in resolving the problems in my community.
14 I will strive to live a more environmentally correct lifestyle. For one, I will bring my own water (bottled fromhome sources) so that I will not need to buy bottled water and pollute the landfills with plastic.
15. I will live as simply as I can.
16. I will support efforts that will make higher quality education more accessible to more people.
17. I will read literature in Pilipino so I can communicate and discuss things more intelligently with more of our countrymen.
18. I will take personal responsibility for all my actions.
19. I will strive to get out of the habit of blaming anyone when something goes wrong, and instead offer
solutions when possible.
20. I will continue recycling conscientiously at home.
21. I will write to the media and encourage others to make their views, opinions and objections known when
government  and other institutions, including the media itself, cross the line.
22. I will obey all laws and follow traffic rules to the letter.
23. I will never bribe my way out of any situation.
24. I will support and show appreciation when I see government officials and functionaries doing their jobs well.
25. I will keep my home and every environment I inhabit clean and grabage free.
26. I will support and encourage excellence and correct thinking when I see It among our countrymen and I will bring home, from every place I visit in the world, lessons that can help make life better for our countrymen here at home.
But it is one of the legacies Ninoy left behind, when he and Cory helped us get our freedoms back, that we no longer have to die for our country. Instead, we are called to live for it with commitment and integrity. This civic call can no longer remain unheeded. It is time to stop playing deaf. It is time to listen, and to act.

"COMEDY KING" DOLPHY

Dolphy might just as well be describing himself in the context of local entertainment, because there is no doubt that in the Philippines, he is Comedy King. And to think all he just wanted was to dance.
Brought to Sampaguita Pictures to portray sidekick roles, Dolphy won votes over two other choices for the role of Gloria/Gorio in the iconic Mars Ravelo film "Jack En Jill." It was to be a pioneering role, making the actor way ahead of his time in portraying gay roles.
"We would go to Hong Kong and Japan to workas entertainers in the '50s.,kaya ako ang unang japayuki. Ako din yata ang unang lumabas nang bakla talaga, at hindi lang lalakeng nagbibihis babae," quipped Dolphy who ia Rodolfo Vera Quizon in real life.
Today,Dolphy has outlasted all his contemporaries, remaining strongly on top of his game. The stats say it all - 81 years old, 65 years of success in showville, about 175 movies, a dozen successful TV series, 18 children, scores of grandchildren, hundreds of friends, thousands of believers, one true love, and zero regret. Dolphy says he cannot ask for anything anymore.
"Thanksgiving, it's mostly thanksgiving everytime I pray, and a good life for may loved ones. Masyado ako sigurong mahal nung nasa taas, yung biyaya, yung blessing Niya, sobra sobra," he humbly stated.
One thing Dolphy said he has in common with Michael Jackson was their favorite song " Smile" by Charlie Chaplin. This is a song that speaks about showing a happy face despite gruelling heartaches. It may also just
as well speak about the way Dolphy has lived his life. Be it in or out of the limelight, he keeps in mind that his mission is to make the Filipino smile, laugh even.
Dolphy stories nostalgic and hopeful, funny and sad, reminiscing the good  old days and admonishing young people not only to look forward to the present but more importantly to always look back and learn from the past.

SAM OH ANNIVERSARY WISH

Be careful of what you wish for.... they always say. But for host Sam Oh ,she wished for a "special guest" to appear on her show with Pastry Chefs Aileen Anastacio and Jackie Ang-Po and she got it - one of the sexiest men in the world - Dingdong Dantes!
"Ever since Goldilocks became our sponsor, we've been building it up in the past episodes that I wish Dingdong would visit us because he is my crush....... I mean come on, he is The One," Sam said.
Last sunday special episode with Dingdong Dantes, Sam gets closer to her "crush" as Chefs Aileen and Jackie prepare for their guest of honor as well as the TV viewers a tasteful array of desserts- mousse cake that mixes two types of chocolates and angel cake topped with whupped cream and berries.
"True Confections" also have a longer time 45 minutes, as it also kicks-off its anniversary month. "True Confections" is on its way to its fourth season.
Have some pretty good feedback . Actually she was surprise she didn't know people were very interested in baking and desserts and people have been asking for more recipes. There's a lot of interest generated. And she think the fact that they will be a longer show because of the increasing sponsors reflects that," remarked Sam proudly.
Like her other shows in QTV-11 like "Sam's Quest" and "Events Inc.," "True Confections" is another show she enjoys hosting especially when it comes to being priveleged of getting to savor the "sinful" desserts prepared by her world-class chefs!
Seriously, I come in here and start eating, eating, and tasting all these desserts. Seriously, all that they cook in the kitchen is very good. I would always say that whenever I eat one that would not eat anything anymore because I'm so sick with sweets already. But then they make the next one which I think is really good, I couldn't resist of course....." smiled Sam.
Looking back when she first started as a TV host for "ETC" Sam expressed that she"s blessed to have found a home on QTV-11 after three years with her former station. Like her first TV job as a host, she is happy to be doing what she is passionate about for more years to come. Aside from TV, Sam Oh is a DJ on 99.5 RT and she also dabbles on hosting corporate events.
"True Confections" airs at 7pm.at QTV-11.
