David Cook : self entitled album

David Cook will always be my....Rockstar! david's debut album which is self entitled "david cook" was released last year 2008. It was also promoted on the davids concert on MOA< May 16, 2009 same with Archuleta's. Eventhough, i haven't bought one I can still on his music. Thanks to iTunes! hehehe.. I download it on my shuffle.

His single "Light on" made on charts and daily countdowns on the top. the music video is like a soundtrack of a movie as my uncle see it. Now, there is "Come back to me" hitting the radios. About it's music video, Cookistah's will not be happy about it. (i'm one of them) David's first ON-SCREEN KISS hapened with sarh roemer (model/Actress). I hate it! Anyway, we can't do anything about it. But i think she is better than kimberly caldwell. She's so lucky! hahaha

When you ask me what is my favorite song in this album, I'll answer.. I love it all. But if you will insists, i will give my top 5 faves. my top 5 picks are .. 5. it's a tie between declaration and heroes.. I can't drop one.. i just can't do it! haha 4. light on (love the arrangement rockstar!) 3. barbasol. This title puzzled us so we figure it out. It's only a shaving cream.hahaha! If superman has a kryptonite, Cookie has a barbasol..hahaha 2. Mr. Sensitive I know he's pertaining to his brother. I thinks it's a great song! 1.. ..... Avalanche ! it is his revival but i really love his version.. carry me down.. in your avalanche,, hahaha!!

Fearless - Taylor Swift Album

The latest Album of taylorSwift is entitle "fearless" which is a song in this album. Her single "love story" made a hit on MYX top charts and also on countdowns on radio stations. It is the most popular of all of her songs. "Teardrops on my guitar" is the first Taylor Swift song I have heard. the songs was emotional and I'm caried away. hahal So her name became familiar with me since last year.

Abotu her new album, I like most of her songs. her genre is somewhat like colbie's. there was a songs featuring Colbie entitlked breathe. Good blending.. My top 5 favorite soongs in her album are: Love story, white horse, fearless, you belong with me and Breathe. Love story and white horse is aired on radio stations already. it seems that many people liked it. taylor can improve more on her vocals. Go taylor!^^,

lea- Aga movie team up soon

Still on lea salonga, she revealed to juicy corner that the much awaited come back for her will be anytime soon given her biggest conditions - first, "it has to be with Aga only".And second, "given the right script".

Lea said that she and Aga are seeing each other at the gym and that Aga is really waiting for their reunion on the big screen. She related that aga said he was waiting for her but lea said, "pwede pumayat muna ako?"

Slumdog millionaire

Q&A. Really, Mr. Swarup is a genius! I so loved how he presented the life of Ram Mohammad Thomas. I especially liked how Ram answered each question just because he was lucky enough that all the questions given to him were those that he knew the answers to. Each chapter of his life was engagingly fast-paced. Yes, I was literally glued to the book that's why I was able to read it in one sitting.

I just don't like it that the movie seems so different from the book.

American idol season 8 finale

When I woke up in the morning, I remember that it is already the finals of American Idol season 8. We bet that Adam will win this season.Despite from the fact that he is a bisexual or a gay, we believe on his talent and deserved the title. From the time i watch the episode where in he sung "Born to be wild" caught my attention not only that also from his tantalizing eyes and looks. He's attractive he looks like a devil.. hahahha. While Kris on the other hand, He is a guy next door and cute but not that appealing for me. I watched his performances but it does not captivate me. His genre is more on acoustics. i love acoustic sessions. I can't explain why i don't notice him until it's top 4..

The Finals is star studded! Stars from the music industry was there. Any genre would it be!
I love their performances. David Cook guested on the show. Of course! He will already turn over the title. he's really cool on stage. It's a while only as I think they had a concert here in manila.. hahaha.. Now, he performed in America. He sung "permanent" and announce that he is supporting an organization about cancer. His brother died of it. I felt his aura that is of sorrow. He still rocks. Archie was also there but did'nt perform..

In the End, Louisana wons. Kris Allen got the title. We got disaappointed here but it's ok. It's America's choice. Congrats Kris Allen! Adam you still rocks! \m/ Be straight!

What now Katrina?

Now that the compromising video on katrina halili and hayden kho got out for the whole world to see, how will the actress deal with her previous denial that there never was a video? For those living under a rock, the video showed katrina in her undies dancing for a brief clad hayden while the latter awklardly rehearsed "careless Whisper".

One thing true aboiut katrina's previous confession of her affair with hayden was that she loved him. It really seemed like she did because she was seen on the video taking care of a perspiring hayden and even went out of the screen to adjust the room's air conditioning.

just when katrina is trying to get her career back on track, here comes the video she thought would never see the light of day.

camp rock!

i guess I'm late to have this review. Disney channel shown this movie last year. I've got a chance to watch on channel 23. The show was cool. i love the music played in this Disney movie. I'm not a fan of Jonas brothers but I appreciate their songs to. Even though I haven't watched this movie before I already love the song "This is me". The music video of "This is me" as a soundtack of "Camp Rock" is on Myx where in it's on the top spot so I discovered it.

I can compare myself to Mitchie played by Demi Lovato. I really like stuffs about music but i don't express much as I wanted to.it's not i'm not given a chance but because i don't think people will appreciate my music with that i was moved by the movie. But unlike Mitchie, i wouldn't go pretending to be rich or something. i'd rather stay on my shell. Mitchie was lucky in the story because she found the missing piece of the song that is Shane's music played by Joe Jonas. You know it's really good to find someone who can make a song out of yours! I think it's something a soul note! hehehe just inventing .. Mitchie is still fortunate in the end despite of all the trials all put the summer. Hey she won Shane's heart..nice!♥ This is me..this is real..Rock on!

Isabel oli said that Lian Paz, paolo contis' Ccurrent girlfriend is not part of his past with the actor. in case she encounters Lian, Isabel said there wouldn't be any problem.

In a recent event for PLDT MyDSL, Isabel and Lian's paths almost crossed. "Hindi ko napancin na nansun siya, kasi madalas na sa mga event ng EB babes, hindi sya sumasama, Nung binati ko sila sa van, hindi ko talag alam na kasama pala siya," said Isabel.

the contoversial kisssing scene between john lloyd cruz and luis manzano has been finally shot in new york for the movie "in my life", which also stars vilma Santos.

Angels and demons

Plucking the same violent, occult strings as "Da Vinci" while avoiding its leadenness, "Angels & Demons" keeps the action coming for the best part of 139 minutes. Scripters David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman have taken a firmer hand with Brown's material. The opening scene, for example, omits the hypersonic Vatican jet that transports crack Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) from Cambridge to Geneva in an hour, opting for more conventional means to get him to Rome and into the thick of the action.

Although this attack of realism might disappoint the book's die-hard fans, it pays off in depicting the Vatican as a fairly "normal" nation-state, and not as some all-powerful SMERSH-like nemesis.

The story line is brilliantly simplified into Langdon's search for the four cardinals, with Vetra (Zurer) and Olivetti (Favino) as his sidekicks. His job is to find angel sculptures inside churches, which point to other churches. Black police cars race dangerously through the crowded Roman streets, always arriving five minutes too late to prevent the grisly death of an aged cardinal who has been branded with the words Earth, Air, Fire or Water.

Hanks fits more comfortably into the role of Langdon here, taking a moment to deliver some friendly one-liners. If "Da Vinci" was criticized for the lack of sexual chemistry between its protagonists, "Angels" simply refuses to suggest any kind of romance between Langdon and Vetra. Their total lack of a relationship is so stunning successful that it passes unnoticed.

Hanks does a likable job of glossing over every implausibility, allowing the action to climax in gut-churning shots borrowed from cheap horror films.

Midnight Sun

1. First Sight

This was the time of day when I wished I were able to sleep.
High school.
Or was purgatory the right word? If there was any way to atone for my
sins, this ought to count toward the tally in some measure. The tedium was not
something I grew used to; evry day seemed more impossibly monotonous than
the last.
I supposed this was my form of sleep--if sleep was defined as the inert state
between active periods.
I stared at the cracks running through the plaster in the far corner of the
cafeteria, imaginig patterens into them that were not there. It was one way to
tune out the voices that babbled like the gush of a river inside my head.
Several hundred of these voices I ignored out of boredom.
When it came to the human mind, I'd heard it all before and then some.
Today, all thoughts were consumed with the trival drama of a new addition to
the small student boy here. It took so little to work them all up. I'd seen the
new face repeated in thought after thought from every angle. Just an ordinary
human girl. The excitement over her arrival was tiresomely predictable---like
flashing a shiny object at a child. Half the sheep-like males were already
imagining themselves in love with her, just because she was something new to
look at. I tried harder to tune them out.
Only for voices did I block out of courtesy rather than distaste: my
family, my two brothers and two sisters, who were so used to the lack of privacy
in my presence that they rarely gave it a thought. I gave them what privacy I
could. I tried not to listen if I could help it.
Try as I may, still...I knew.

(I'd stop you there, i still have the rest of the story and you're getting more interested but it's not the right time.. just wait when the book is published and by then just read all the rest.)

They kissed again ♥

It Started With a Kiss ended with odd couple Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) and Xiang Qin (Ariel Lin) getting married in characteristically comical fashion, and the sequel picks up the story right away with their honeymoon and married life. Xiang Qin is as ham-fisted as ever, creating many funny situations as she learns the ropes of being a wife and tries hard to become a good nurse and work alongside her genius husband. Aspiring doctor Zhi Shu meets some obstacles at school when he encounters both academic and romantic rivals who are determined to over-rule him. The pressure of balancing marriage, work, and school often leads to mistakes and misunderstandings, and Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin soon learn that marrying young isn't all it's cracked up to be. ^[1]

As Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin struggle with their professional ambitions, they also struggle with their personal relationship. Many times, Zhi Shu's coldness and harshness drives Xiang Qin to tears and she tries to run away. Zhi Shu himself tries to push Xiang Qin to higher ambition and making a life for herself. Zhi Shu soon learns to love Xiang Qin and forgive her bumbling ways, and Xiang Qin tries harder to become a better wife and nurse for her husband.

Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin are not the only ones having problems with their relationship. Xiang Qin's childhood friend Ah Jin (Jiro Wang) deals with the affections of Christine, an English exchange student who latches onto him against his will. Xiang Qin's friend, Chun Mei (Petty Yang), gets pregnant by her boyfriend, Ah Bu (Aaron Yan), but his wealthy, highbrow mother is desperate to keep them apart. Zhi Shu's younger brother Yu Shu (Zhang Bo Han) deals with his own first love and their story remarkably resembles that of Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin.

Xmen 3: the last Stand

A pharmaceutical company called Worthington Labs announces that it has developed an inoculation to permanently suppress the X-gene that gives mutants their powers, offering the so-called "cure" to any mutant who wants it; the cure is derived from a mutant boy named Jimmy, whose own ability is to automatically and unconsciously surpress the abilities of other mutants in immediate proximity to him. The cure was created because Warren, the son of Mr. Worthington, owner of the lab, is a mutant with angel-like wings growing out of his back, which he can actually use to fly. Worthington wants them gone, but when the time comes, Warren refuses and leaves and goes to Xavier's school instead. While some mutants are interested in the cure, including the X-Men's Rogue, many others are horrified by the announcement. In response to the news, the X-Men's adversary Magneto begins to raise an army, warning his followers that, like his experiences in the Nazi Holocaust, the cure will be forcefully used to exterminate the mutant race.

Cyclops, still heartbroken about the loss of Jean Grey, returns to Alkali Lake, where Jean sacrificed herself to save the X-Men. He hears her voice and begs for it to stop, finally taking off his sunglasses and his eye beam shoots through the water. Jean then appears out of the water to Cyclops, and as the two kiss, Jean changes and appears to kill Cyclops. Sensing trouble, Professor Charles Xavier sends Wolverine and Storm to investigate. When they arrive, the two X-Men encounter telekinetically floating rocks, Cyclops' glasses, and an unconscious Jean. Meanwhile Magneto ambushes a military transport and frees Juggernaut, and Multiple Man, during which Mystique blocks a shot of the mutant cure aimed at Magneto, only to be left behind because she is not "one of them" anymore. Shortly after, Dr. Hank McCoy resigns his position as Secretary of Mutant Affairs.

Xavier explains to Wolverine that the majority of Jean's power is seated in her unconscious mind and that, as a result, her powers are largely fueled by instinct, and not under her complete control. In fact, when Jean was a little girl she was so powerful that he had to put telepathic blocks on her mind to help keep her powers under control. Her bottled up powers manifested themselves as an id-like alternate personality called the "Phoenix" — a purely instinctual creature, ruled only by its own violent desires. Initially skeptical, Wolverine becomes more convinced when Jean reawakens, acting strange and aggressive. He asks about Cyclops, but she cannot remember and fears she killed him. Jean pleads with Wolverine to kill her before she harms anybody else, but when he refuses and offers to have Xavier help her, the Phoenix resurfaces and telekinetically slams Wolverine into a wall. She then flees to her childhood home, with Xavier, Wolverine and Storm in pursuit. Magneto, also aware that Jean's powers are loose, meets Xavier at Jean's house. The two men plead for Jean's loyalty until the Phoenix resurfaces, unleashing her devastating power. Furious at being caged within Jean's subconscious for twenty years, she destroys her family's house and engages in a psychic battle with Xavier. She eventually overpowers and disintegrates Xavier before leaving with Magneto.

Dark Phoenix unleashes her power

Following the losses of Xavier and Cyclops, and pained by her inability to get physically close to her boyfriend Iceman, Rogue decides to take the mutant cure. The X-Men regroup and confront Magneto's army, which is attacking the pharmaceutical company's laboratory on Alcatraz Island. The battle begins when Magneto moves the Golden Gate Bridge to land at Alcatraz Island, which is being guarded only by a company of soldiers. The Brotherhood's first charge is ineffective as Magneto is unable to destroy the soldiers' plastic weapons. The first group of mutants, which Magneto refers to as "pawns", are hit with the cure cartridges and depowered. His minion, Arclight, destroys the weapons with her shockwaves as the X-Men arrive: Magneto derides them as traitors and orders his army to attack as the X-Men confront them to give Kitty Pryde time to save Jimmy, narrowly defeating Juggernaut. Worthington himself is nearly killed, but his son, Warren flies in and saves him. Iceman goes one-on-one with his rival Pyro, where he transforms his entire body into ice, freezes Pyro's hands, and defeats him by delivering a strong headbutt to Pyro's head. Wolverine distracts Magneto while Beast injects him with the cure, nullifying his mutant powers. After this, Wolverine nearly coaxes Jean back to sanity; however, more soldiers arrive and fire upon Jean. The Phoenix quickly resurfaces and, in her rage, begins to disintegrate everything and everyone around her, vaporizing the soldiers along with Worthington Labs. While the other X-Men, soldiers and the remnants of Magneto's army flee to safety, Wolverine fights his way to Jean, relying upon his healing abilities to save himself from her destructive power. When he reaches her, the Phoenix coldly sneers at Wolverine being willing to die for the others, to which he retorts that he would only die for her. Momentarily regaining control, Jean begs Wolverine to save her. Wolverine confesses his love for Jean, and reluctantly kills her with his claws.

Despite the X-Men's losses, life goes on. The school will continue without Xavier, with Storm now in control. The President appoints Hank McCoy to the United Nations to represent the entire United States: human and mutant. Rogue returns and tells Iceman she had to take the "cure." The two reconcile and continue their relationship, now able to touch each other. Magneto, now an ordinary man, sits at a chessboard in a park and reaches out toward a metal chess piece that moves slightly, indicating that the mutant cure isn't as permanent as was originally thought.

Following the closing credits, Dr. Moira MacTaggert checks on a comatose patient who greets her with Xavier's voice, implying that he has transferred his mind into this new body.

Johnny English

Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) is a bureaucratic employee of the British Secret Service, who dreams to be a charming agent. His dreams come true when all the British agents die, due to the lack of security in a funeral where he was the responsible. Johnny English, with the support of his assistant Bough (Ben Miller) and Lorna Campbell (Natalie Imbruglia), fights against the evil Pascal Sauvage (John Malkovitch), a powerful French who wants to be the king of the United Kingdom and transforms England in a great prison for all criminals of the world. This silly story is a very funny parody of 007 movies. Rowan Atkinson is very hilarious, as usual, and it is impossible not laughing with his stupidities. The singer Natalie Imbruglia is very beautiful, the unknown Ben Miller is the efficient assistant of Johnny English, and John Malkovitch, with a ridiculous French accent, complete the funny cast of this comedy. My vote is seven.

Special A (aka S.A) follows Hikari Hanazono, the main character, who has always been second to Kei Takishima. While Hikari considers Kei a rival and somewhat of a friend, Kei loves Hikari. Everyone knows this, but she is too dense to notice. Their wrestling loving fathers first introduced them to one another when they were 6 years old. Assuming that she was the best in wrestling, young Hikari challenged Kei to a wrestling match only to be thoroughly defeated by him. Ever since that fateful incident, Hikari swore to beat Kei in school grades, a sporting event - anything. To do this she has enrolled in the same school as Kei since elementary. Now she attends Hakusenkan, an ultra elite school, that costs her carpenter father a lot of money. Hikari and Kei are the top two students in the school, with Kei holding firmly to that number one position.

HATTON OVER-CONFIDENT!

LAS VEGAS--Manny Pacquiao was rushed past hundreds of passionate supporters while Ricky Hatton was able to joke with his backers in emotional arrivals here Tuesday ahead of Saturday's boxing showdown.
English star Hatton's junior welterweight crown will be at stake when he faces Filipino hero Pacquiao, the pound-for-pound ring king who is looking to match a record by becoming a champion in a sixth different weight division.
Pacquiao was met by so many well wishers pushing forward for autographs and photographs of "Pac Man" that security hustled him through the crowd and into his suite without much to say.
"I don't want to talk too much before the fight," Pacquiao said. "I want to let my fists do the talking in the ring."
Trainer Freddie Roach said the excitement shows just how much interest there is in the Asian superstar ahead of the biggest fight of his career.
"Manny worldwide is a popular guy and this is a big fight," Roach said.
Hatton, meanwhile, entered to flag-waving supporters singing a favorite chant and providing a taste of the British atmosphere expected to be on display at Friday's weigh-in and Saturday's bout.
"I may be fat. I may be round. But guess who is going to be the best pound-for-pound?" Hatton said. "British fans travel well. Manny has a fantastic following as well but on Saturday it will be just like being in Britain."
Minutes after the glitz and glamour, "Hitman" Hatton worked out in the same arena where he will meet Pacquiao, the ring where he was knocked out by Floyd Mayweather in 2007 in his only loss, which came at the welterweight level.
"I've never felt this relaxed and confident," Hatton said. "With Mayweather I got caught up in all of the hullabaloo. I have not lost too many rounds, let alone any fights, at 140 pounds."
Hatton, 45-1 with 32 knockouts, has a size advantage while the edge in speed figures to go to Pacquiao, 48-3 with two drawn and 35 knockouts.
"Manny is very fast but I'm pretty fast myself," Hatton said. "He will have to move like greased lightning to keep me off him for 12 rounds."
A close and exciting fight is expected but Hatton was relaxed and speaking boldly about his chances to win.
"Three or four fights ago, Pacquiao might have beaten me. I don't think so now," Hatton said. "Technically I'm boxing a lot better, jabbing and moving. The British bulldog has learned a few new tricks.
"I'm more explosive than most opponents he's fought. He has not fought anyone who is going to be as powerful and ferocious and aggressive as me. I don't think I've changed a lot. This is the best Ricky Hatton has ever been."
While some expect Hatton to revert to pure attacker and skip the boxing moves in the fight, Hatton thinks Pacquiao might do the same.
"He comes in with that passion. If you think Ricky could resort, so could Manny," Hatton said.
"I'm aware of his power but should I be scared of being in a fight with a man who has had only two fights over 130?" Hatton said. "He can be hit. I want to be cautious but use my size, strength and speed."
Hatton was impressed with the turnout of British fans especially given the tough economic times.
"If you look at that turnout five days before the fight with the way the economy is in Britain - it's as bad as it has been in a while - it's as great an accomplishment as any fight may have been," Hatton said.
"The British are head and shoulders the best fans in boxing, paying their money to come. And this time we've got the Filipinos as well so it should be even bigger."
