KT Tunstall - Eye to the telescope

Eye To The Telescope is the debut studio album of Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall. This album had gone platinum selling over 1 million copies in the U.S. alone gaining its peak position at #3 in the UK Billboard Charts. Tunstall has been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize along with three British nominations for the Best British Live Act,. British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Artist winning one out of the three nominations for the Female Solo Artist. She also received a 2007 Grammy Award nomination for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance". However the award went to Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man." In the Philippines, the only single released from the album is "Other Side Of The World". I loved the song from the first time I heard it on the radio. I was just amazed by the way Tunstall delivered the song. She has a unique voice, one that is slightly big but she's able to raise it to a level no one but she could reach. Since I couldn't get enough of KT, I downloaded all the tracks in the album also loving the tracks "False Alarm", "Under The Weather", "Suddenly I See" and "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree". Some of these tracks have been recognized and used for a number of films. The next album was the one she recorded at the Isle Of Skye. Tunstall is also noted for her live performances. I'd rather have her perform live than in the studio. Three of the tracks from Eye to the Telescope have been included in this album, however rendered acoustic. Compared to the first album, Acoustic Extravaganza has a more mellow tune and strong guitars and could be classified more of a Country. All the same, it was also a great album.
