Lastikman (comics)

Lastikman, teh star of two recent movies, was first a comic book hero. In fac, lastikman was created by the "father of filipino comics" mars ravelo, who also created Darna. For years, Lastikman gave genration of filipinos a superhero they could call their own.

In this updated version, an asteroid crashes into the home of Don Rufo and his children, vinya and Toto. Inside is a man with strange powers: he can twist and turn his body beyond normal human limits, and he's able to change into diffrent shapes and sizes. Not knowing where he came from, they called him "lastikman"

Problems arise when a second asteroid is spotted headed for earth. Lastikman must face dark forces that seem familiar to him. Did he come from a peaceful world or was he created to destroy our planet? How will one small town deal with an army of "lastikmen"?

Returning Lastikman to his comic roots, writer Gerry Alanguilan and artist Arnold Arre have given him a new life. The cartoony style best shows off Latikman's flexibility, limited only by his imagination, and the humorous situation you'd expect from having these kind of crazy powers. The result is great and feels very Pinoy!
